Learning from the stories, experiences, and adventures of those who traverse different worlds. Ongoing work in Haiti, Ghana, Belize. Topics include body ecologies, art and aesthetics, relations, and perception, especially as all of these are inculcated through the border-crossings of infancy, birth, dreams, and death.
Interdisciplinary and experimental strategies for participating in and observing modes of experience (Latour 2014) at the boundaries of human physiological existence. Photography as a collaborative endeavor with strangers and their things. Current projects explore the everyday lives (and deaths) of infants and caretakers, with special attention to the material items used to keep infants protected from physical and psychic harm. Collaboration with Vodou leaders has also produced a photographic geneology of magical spaces, spirits, and items used to affect futures.
Experimental. Linear and non-linear translations of daily life and perception. Educational, exciting, collaborative.
